In this age of technology it seems that no sooner have you taken your brand spanking new machine out of its packaging than it is already defunct and obsolete thanks to a newer, sleeker, sexier model. However, there are some exceptionally old machines still out there and some exceptionally stubborn users who still think that Windows 95 is the height of technological evolution.

In North America at least, ASUS has primarily been known as a consumer notebook company. However, that might be about to change as the Taiwanese vendor announced the launch of its B Series of small business-oriented laptops.

The HP Mini 210 HD is an interesting 10 inch netbook for a couple of reasons. It’s thin and light, and has an interesting case design with a single sheet of plastic over the lid and a matching colored sheet of plastic on the base of the computer. And the laptop has a 1366 x 768 pixel high resolution display, which is a rare feature on a machine with a 10.1 inch screen.

The title of this news might conjure up an image of a burly character running, in slow motion, from a huge explosion triggered by a wireless network but the reality is sadly somewhat more mundane. New figures from BT Openzone, BT's wireless Hotspot ISP, have recorded a rise in "glamping" (glamorous camping laugh) that is being driven by an explosion in Wi-Fi usage at UK holiday and leisure parks.
